Hello - if you work in threat analysis or incident response, you know the drill:
you need to share log files, scripts, and malware samples - fast.
I’ve tried just about every file-sharing tool out there. It’s a lot easier than the old “email attachment” days… but I kept running into the same issues :
- file size limits
- security concerns
- links getting shared a little too widely
So I built something simpler.
What I wanted (and couldn’t reliably find)
A file drop that’s :
- link-only (no link, no access)
- auto-expires after a set time
- privacy-first (no unnecessary tracking)
- no account required
That’s how [SimpleDrop] was born.
About [SimpleDrop]
SimpleDrop - Free&Secure
SimpleDrop does one thing:
a temporary, disposable place to drop files - nothing more.
No sign-ups. No extra steps. Upload, grab a link, share it, and move on.
Behind the scenes, we focus on privacy and reducing accidental exposure - because that’s what most tools don’t treat as the main problem.
Who it’s for
Security folks and developers will probably use it the most - but it’s for anyone who needs a quick, free way to share files.
Bookmark it and you’ll have it ready whenever you need it.
(And for now : no ads.)
What I’ll write about here
In this blog, I’ll share what I’m learning as I build and run the service - what’s working, what isn’t, and what I’m improving as real users start using it.
See you in the next post.
